33057 (2025). Reuben Davidson to the Minister of Science, Innovation and Technology: How many FTE staff, if any, have lost their jobs as a result of the restructure of Crown Research Institutes into Public Research organisations?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I have been advised that Scion/New Zealand Institute for Bioeconomy Science (BSI) is the only Crown Research Institute to have lost staff during the restructure to a Public Research Organisation. Scion/BSI lost one staff member in the restructure.
