33046 (2025). Hon Dr Megan Woods to the Minister for Resources: Has the Minister asked the Ministry of Business, Innovation, and Employment to conduct a review into how incorrect data was included in official Cabinet material?

Hon Shane Jones: I am advised that the Ministry has reviewed how this error happened and updated their internal processes for generation and use of energy pricing data accordingly. In particular, all energy pricing data or graphs referred to in Ministerial briefings and Cabinet papers need to be from official published sources or have been peer-reviewed by the relevant subject matter expert as part of managerial sign-out processes.
