33036 (2025). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Local Government: How is the Government ensuring that regions not currently selected for a Regional Deal are still supported in their infrastructure and economic development goals?

Hon Simon Watts: The Government is committed to working with more councils on City and Regional Deals over time. The Government has other areas of work that present new opportunities for regions, such as Local Water Done Well, Going for Housing Growth, Urban Growth Partnerships, the Infrastructure Acceleration Fund, and transport-related projects.
