33023 (2025). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister for Children: How many, if any, cases of harm in care is the Oranga Tamariki Child Protection Investigation Unit investigating as of 1 July 2025?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised by Oranga Tamariki that as at 8 July 2025, there are no cases of harm to a child in care being investigated by the Oranga Tamariki Child Protection Investigation Unit. I am further advised that as at 8 July 2025, there are two cases of harm to children who are not in the care of Oranga Tamariki currently being investigated with the Child Protection Investigation Unit.
