32981 (2025). Debbie Ngarewa-Packer to the Minister of Transport: Was the Horowhenua District Council informed in advance of the decision to make changes to funding arrangements for the Ōtaki to Levin expressway project; if yes, on what date?

Hon Chris Bishop: I am advised that since January 2025, Horowhenua District Council elected members were briefed on the solely NZTA-directed process being worked through and concepts under consideration. Briefings were held on 29 January, 26 February, 19 March and 7 May 2025.
