32980 (2025). Debbie Ngarewa-Packer to the Minister of Transport: Will the Minister consider the concerns raised by the Horowhenua community that the community was "blindsided" and "absolutely gutted" regarding the expressway project, if yes, what mechanisms, if any, will the Minister put in place to address these concerns?

Hon Chris Bishop: Decisions in relation to this project are made by the NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) and its Board. The community is welcome to discuss any concerns with the project team, and I am advised that an open day will be scheduled at the project site office in the coming weeks.
