32945 (2025). Hon Ginny Andersen to the Minister of Police: What is the current maximum training capacity for police recruits at the Auckland Police training facility?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that as at 4 July 2025, Wing 390 at the Royal New Zealand Police College Auckland campus, has 40 recruits and is being run on a pilot basis to assess the suitability of the site for future initial recruit training. A review will be conducted at the conclusion of Wing 390. As this is a pilot, no analysis has yet been completed to determine the permanent maximum number of recruits that can be accommodated at the Auckland campus.
