32932 (2025). Hon Ginny Andersen to the Minister of Police: How many wings can the Auckland Police college take per year?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that the current Police recruit wing operating at the Royal New Zealand Police College (RNZPC) Auckland campus is being run on a pilot basis to assess the suitability of the site for future initial recruit training. A full review will be conducted at the conclusion of Wing 390. As this stage, no analysis has been completed to determine how many wings could be accommodated at the Auckland campus. The RNZPC Auckland campus was added to the New Zealand Police property portfolio to provide additional capacity for the delivery of senior and specialist courses, thereby ensuring RNZPC in Porirua remains the primary venue for initial recruit and tactical training.
