32908 (2026). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: Does he have confidence that the independent reviewer to be appointed to the Warkworth to Te Hana public-private partnership will be independent of all parties to that contract, and on what basis?

Hon Chris Bishop: Yes. I am advised by NZTA that independence is a key assessment criterion in the evaluation and selection of the preferred independent reviewer, providing confidence that the appointed reviewer will be independent of all parties to the contract.
