32906 (2026). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Associate Minister of Health: Is the estimate of the cost of funding Pharmac's Options for Investment list provided in Pharmac's response to official information act request number 2025-26-228 inclusive of the cost of Wegovy and Monjaro?

Hon David Seymour: I am advised that the cost of funding Pharmac’s Options for Investment (OFI) list is inclusive of all items ranked as of May 2026, which includes semaglutide (Wegovy brand). However, the figure does not include the cost of tirzepatide (Mounjaro) as this funding application is still under assessment, and was not on the OFI at the time.
