32895 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Science, Innovation and Technology: What consultations are the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, planning to open on the week beginning Monday 30 June with employees around any changes to employment roles, employment numbers and any other employment conditions, and when is any such consultation expected to close?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: As Minister of Science, Innovation and Technology, I have no responsibility for any government departments. With regard to agencies, Crown entities and any other bodies under the Science, Innovation and Technology portfolio, I am advised that the Plant and Food Research business unit of the New Zealand Institute for Bioeconomy Science opened a consultation in relation to one role. This consultation is expected to close by the end of July.
