32679 (2025). Arena Williams to the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs: Does the Minister agree with the NZ Herald Wellington business editor that the Government was lobbied by banks for Credit Contracts and Consumer Finance Act reform?

Hon Scott Simpson: Entities 'lobby' the government on a range of issues. In this particular case, the banks 'lobbying' made no difference to my decision in the proposed legislation.
