Hon Brooke van Velden: I discussed the proposed reforms with my Cabinet colleagues. As set out in the relevant Cabinet paper, the intent of the reforms was to maintain a process to raise and resolve pay equity claims, while providing a better framework for parties to use to assess whether there is sex-based undervaluation.
