32337 (2025). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Housing: Further to his reply to Question 29612 (2025), how much government funding, if any, was provided for the delivery of the eight houses in Blenheim and Christchurch and under which programmes was any such funding provided?

Hon Chris Bishop: I am advised that the funding for the delivery of the eight social housing places was provided from the Budget 24 social housing appropriation and that the funding approved was within standard ranges. I am further advised that the Whole of Life Cost for social housing depends on the total Income Related Rent Subsidy that will be paid to the provider over the duration of the contract, and that this will vary over time depending on market rents and tenant incomes.
