32271 (2025). Lemauga Lydia Sosene to the Minister of Internal Affairs: On what date did registrations open for online casino operators to register their interest to enter the New Zealand market?

Hon Brooke van Velden: The formal expressions of interest process to enter the New Zealand market will not be open until after the Bill is enacted. On 1 April 2025, the Department of Internal Affairs launched the Online Gambling Regulatory Implementation webpage. This page enables key stakeholders and the public to register their interest to receive information and updates about the implementation programme. This will help prepare the sector to participate once the formal expression of interest process is open.
