Hon Erica Stanford: I am aware that there are individual cases that have been submitted to Associate Minister Penk where a child has been born in New Zealand to parents with an unlawful immigration status. I note that the member has publicly commented that he also considered such cases when he was the Associate Minister of Immigration.
