32247 (2025). Hon Ginny Andersen to the Minister of Police: Are there any high-demand areas that have not received beat team deployment, and if so, why?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that Police has established Community Beat Teams (CBTs) in Auckland City, Counties Manukau-Manurewa, Wellington, Rotorua and Christchurch. Decisions regarding further deployment of CBTs are an operational matter for the Commissioner and District Commanders. However, I am further advised that additional CBTs are expected to be in place shortly. This is also my response to Written Parliamentary Questions 32248, 32254 and 32251 (2025).
