32204 (2025). Hon Julie Anne Genter to the Minister of Transport: What is the most recent benefit cost ratio for the Melling Interchange, when was it calculated and what was the total cost assumption for the interchange for that calculation?

Hon Chris Bishop: The most recent Benefit Cost Ratio (BCR) for the Melling transport improvements is 2.3. This was calculated in April 2025 and includes the new Monetised Benefit and Costs Manual (MBCM) assumptions around discount rates, analysis period, plus updated costs including travel time costs (TTC), and crash costs. The BCR has an assumed project cost of $1.11b.
