Hon Chris Bishop: The Single Stage Business Case for Melling Transport Improvements project which was prepared between 2018/19 and finalised in November 2019 had an estimated cost of $237m (P50). The total budget for the project is approximately $1 billion, which includes property, consenting, design, investigations, demolition, cash flow escalation, NZTA managed costs and client held risk provision.
