32180 (2025). Ingrid Leary to the Minister for Mental Health: What are the current policies regarding voluntary status for forensic patients, at Hillmorton Hospital?

Hon Matt Doocey: I am advised that inpatients in a forensic unit are either under the Mental Health Act, the Criminal Procedure (Mentally Impaired Persons) Act 2003, or the Intellectual Disability (Compulsory Care and Rehabilitation) Act 2003 and as such are not voluntary.
