32167 (2025). Ingrid Leary to the Associate Minister of Health: What Consumer Price Index (CPI) rate is Health New Zealand applying to the provider arm of community mental health services it delivers, in order to address cost pressures of financial year 2026?

Hon Matt Doocey: I am advised that Health New Zealand’s internally delivered Mental Health budgets have been uplifted by 8.15% for the 2025/26 financial year. This uplift covers both cost pressures (including staff costs) and demographic growth and ensures alignment to the Mental Health Ringfence expected uplifts.
