Teanau Tuiono to the Minister for Oceans and Fisheries: Has the Minister assessed the potential impact on public trust and the industry’s social licence from proposals that focus on the cameras on boats programme and to limit public access to camera footage under the Official Information Act and if so what and if not why not?

Hon Shane Jones: I am assessing these impacts and other points raised during consultation on the proposed Fisheries Act reforms, and will factor them into my recommendations to Cabinet on final decisions later this year.
