31981 (2026). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: How many times, if any, has the Waihenga bridge on State Highway 53 been closed since 1 January 2026 and for each closure, on what date was it closed and on what date was it reopened?

Hon Chris Bishop: I am advised that the NZTA has closed the bridge four times since 1 January 2026: • Closed on 20/4/2026 at 11:35pm and reopened on 23/04/2026 at 11:49am. • Closed on 26/6/2026 at 7:45pm and reopened on 28/6/2026 at 9:25pm. • Closed on 8/7/2026 at 4:00am and reopened on 8/7/2026 at 12:40pm. • Closed on 9/7/2026 at 1:30am and reopened on 10/7/2026 at 8am.
