31955 (2026). Reuben Davidson to the Minister for Media and Communications: What conflicts of interest, if any, did Paul Henry declare in TVNZ's interests register during his tenure, and on what dates were they entered?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: I am advised that Paul Henry disclosed a perceived or potential conflict of interest prior to his TVNZ Board appointment being confirmed, as he had accepted a contract to host four episodes of The Chase NZ. Filming was completed before Mr Henry joined the Board in July 2025. This was formally recorded in the TVNZ register on 27 August 2025 and managed under the Board’s conflict management policies.
