31877 (2025). Hon Phil Twyford to the Minister of Immigration: What is the total amount, if any, of individuals who arrived into New Zealand on a Work To Residence Visa during the week of June 2nd 2025?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised that during the week of 02 June 2025 to 8 June 2025, a total of 4 individuals arrived in New Zealand on a Work to Residence Visa comprising both residence and temporary entry Work to Residence Visa holders. First arrivals under the skilled residence Work to Residence pathway are likely to be low due to the requirement to have worked in New Zealand for 24 months and therefore most are granted visas while onshore.
