31863 (2025). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Associate Minister of Education: How many, if any, school lunches were delivered late during the week of June 9th 2025, expressed as an overall number?

Hon David Seymour: There were around 939,000 meals delivered in the week of 9 June 2025 across the 1011 schools in the programme. The Ministry of Education (the Ministry) does not track the delivery timing of all suppliers and meal providers across the programme daily. One of the external model suppliers, the School Lunch Collective (SLC), publishes meal information on their website daily here: https://www.schoollunchcollective.co.nz/. I am advised by the Ministry that all 537,438 meals were delivered by the SLC. Of these meals, 23 schools received meals late and eight schools had missing meals.
