31824 (2025). Hon Phil Twyford to the Minister of Defence: What formal dialogues have New Zealand officials engaged in with representatives of either Australia, United Kingdom, and the United States, if any, since 1 January 2024, by location and date?

Hon Judith Collins: Defence officials undertake a wide array of international engagements with these countries, centred on both policy and operational matters. In the case of our only ally, New Zealand and Australia have an agreed set of formal defence dialogues that see counterparts at all levels, from Minister and Chief Executives down to the working level, meeting at least once every year. Defence officials also engage with UK and US counterparts regularly at senior and working levels.
