31766 (2026). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: How much, if any, has the NZ Transport Agency spent on public consultation and community engagement across all Roads of National Significance, in total and broken down by financial year and by project, since 27 November 2023?

Hon Chris Bishop: Public consultation is not recorded as a discrete cost category and occurs throughout the project development lifecycle. I am advised that providing this level of detail would require a significant manual exercise, including reviewing invoices and undertaking a transaction-by-transaction assessment of all project records before collating the information for a response. Given the significant amount of work involved, the information cannot be provided within the timeframe prescribed by Standing Order 392(4).
