31512 (2025). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Associate Minister of Education: How many, if any, school lunches were not delivered during the week of June 16th 2025, expressed as an overall number?

Hon David Seymour: There were around 742,000 meals delivered in the four-day week of 16 June across the 1011 schools in the programme. The Ministry does not track the delivery timing of all suppliers and meal providers across the programme daily. One of the external model suppliers, the School Lunch Collective (SLC), publishes surplus meal data on their website daily here: https://www.schoollunchcollective.co.nz/. I am advised by the Ministry of Education that for the four-day week of 16 June 2025, all the 420,441 meals were delivered by the SLC.
