31505 (2026). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: Does he still expect designations for the remainder of the Northland Expressway corridor to be lodged under the Fast-track Approvals Act by late 2026, as stated in his 20 October 2025 release; if not, why not?

Hon Chris Bishop: No. The Northland Corridor is a large, long-term programme and is being planned and delivered in stages. Route protection will occur for the Te Hana to Whangarei sections (excluding the Alternative to the Brynderwyn Hills) when funding becomes available.
