31417 (2026). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: When is route protection for the Northwest Busway (Te Ara Hauāuru) Stage 3, listed in Phase Two of the July 2026 Major Transport Projects Pipeline, expected to be completed?

Hon Chris Bishop: In December 2025, NZTA lodged applications for statutory approvals for the project under the Fast-track Approvals Act. A decision from the Expert Panel is expected in September 2026.
