31416 (2026). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: What is the current total cost estimate for the Northwest Busway (Te Ara Hauāuru) Stage 3?

Hon Chris Bishop: The NZTA Board-endorsed investment case provided cost ranges for Stages 1 and 2. NZTA is seeking statutory approvals for the full corridor, including Stage 3, but Stage 3 is not expected within the next 10 years and will need further planning, design, funding consideration and approvals before a reliable cost estimate can be set.
