31397 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Police: What consultations are the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, planning to open on the week beginning Monday 16 June 2025 with employees around any changes to employment roles, employment numbers and any other employment conditions, and what is the proposed net change in roles?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that Police’s “People Operating Model and Organisational Design version two” proposes to disestablish 38 positions, eight of which are currently vacant. In addition, 105 positions are proposed to be impacted, with 67 positions experiencing minor changes; three of these are also vacant. However, as part of the proposal, Police has created 34 new positions. The consultation period for this operating model closes on Tuesday 1 July 2025.
