31395 (2026). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: Why is SH6 Hope Bypass Stage 2 placed in Phase Three of the July 2026 Major Transport Projects Pipeline while SH6 Hope Bypass Stage 1 is placed in Phase Two?

Hon Chris Bishop: As outlined in my press release of 9 July 2026, intersection improvements (stage 1) are being prioritised at Lower Queen Street. This will provide safety improvements for locals, while ensuring that further work on the project can continue when funding becomes available.
