31390 (2026). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: When are route protection or main construction of the Airport to Botany Busway Stages 3 and 4, listed as a council-led project in Phase Three of the July 2026 Major Transport Projects Pipeline, expected to occur, if a date has been set?

Hon Chris Bishop: Route protection is already complete for stages 3 and 4. The 2021 Single Stage Business Case recommended staged delivery: the western section (Airport–Manukau via Puhinui) in the next decade, followed by the eastern section (Manukau–Botany) between 2036 and 2047, subject to Auckland RLTP and 30-Year Plan priorities and funding.
