Ricardo Menéndez March to the Minister of Immigration: Further to 2898 (2025), what measures or indicators, if any, will the Government use to evaluate the effectiveness and economic impact—such as duration of stays, expenditure levels, or tax contributions—of the remote‑work provision under the visitor visa framework?

Hon Erica Stanford: As per WPQ 2898 (2025), applicants whose visas have been granted with the conditions allowing remote work while in New Zealand are not obligated to inform Immigration New Zealand of their employment and therefore this information is not recorded.
