31325 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Land Information: How much in total, if any, was spent on renumeration of Crown appointees in the Minister's departments, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, for the 2022-2023 financial year?

Mike Butterick: I am responsible for appointments to the Valuers Registration Board (VRB), Cadastral Surveyors Licensing Board (CSLB) and the Ngā Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa New Zealand Geographic Board (NZGB). Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) does not pay board member fees for the CSLB and VRB as these are directly funded from professional registration fees paid by practitioners in those industries. In 2022/23, a total of $10,887.50 in board fees was paid to Crown-appointed members of the NZGB. NB: LINZ staff in ex-officio roles on these boards do not receive remuneration additional to their salary while carrying out their board functions.
