31280 (2025). Hūhana Lyndon to the Minister for Māori Development: What communication, if any, has been sent out for people to participate in the engagements for the Review of the Waitangi Tribunal Legislation?

Hon Tama Potaka: I am advised that all decisions about communication and engagement for the Review are the responsibility of the Independent Technical Advisory Group (ITAG), which operates independently from Ministers and government agencies. I am further advised that ITAG has issued targeted invitations to participate in engagement activities and to provide written submissions. These invitations have been sent to iwi, hapū, national Māori organisations, legal and academic experts, and representatives of Parliament, the Executive, the Judiciary, and the Waitangi Tribunal.
