31253 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for the Environment: How much, if any, have the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, budgeted for the carbon neutral government programme in the 2026/27 financial year?

Hon Nicola Grigg: As the Minister for the Environment, I am responsible for the Environmental Protection Authority, which advises that it has budgeted $6,255 for the carbon neutral government programme in the 2026-27 financial year. This includes membership and certification costs. I am not responsible for any other departments, agencies, Crown entities, or other bodies. The Member may be aware that I was previously responsible for the Ministry for the Environment. That responsibility ended when the Ministry for the Environment merged into the new Ministry for Cities, Environment, Regions and Transport (MCERT). Responsibility for MCERT now sits with the Minister Responsible for RMA Reform.
