31246 (2025). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: How many public reports have been made to the NZTA pothole tipline since it was launched, and what percentage have resulted in repairs within 24 hours?

Hon Chris Bishop: NZTA has advised me that it has recorded 370 requests from members of the public specifically about potholes from 1 July 2024 to 17 June 2025. A separate asset management system is used by contractors to log faults and subsequent repairs, and customer requests are not associated to specific potholes within this system. As such, NZTA is unable to confirm repair numbers, but refer to the repair rate outlined in WPQ-31245, where over 95% of potholes have been repaired within the expected timeframes.
