31244 (2025). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: Has he received any advice or concerns from NZTA or third-party auditors about the sustainability or cost-effectiveness of meeting the 24-hour pothole repair target?

Hon Chris Bishop: I have not received any such advice. However, NZTA has provided advice on long-term asset management strategies focused on an increase in the quality of the network that would see a move from pothole fixing to pothole prevention.
