31126 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Housing: How much, if any, did the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, spend on the carbon neutral government programme in the 2025/26 financial year?

Hon Chris Bishop: Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities advise me that in the 2025/26 financial year it spent approximately 0.25 Full Time Equivalent (FTE) on compiling the emissions inventory and an additional 0.25 FTE implementing the use of low-carbon concrete in the build programme. During 2025/26, Kāinga Ora also spent $900,000 gross on fleet electrification, which contributed to achieving the Carbon Neutral Government Plan’s carbon reduction targets. Tāmaki Regeneration Company spent $0 on the carbon neutral government programme in the 2025/26 financial year. The Ministry of Housing and Urban Development spent $16,341.25 in the 2025/26 financial year.
