31114 (2023). Hon Dr Megan Woods to the Minister of Climate Change: Does he stand by his statement “But the Pacific countries absolutely can be confident that New Zealand will stand with them in regards to our objectives, to meet our [climate] commitments," if so, what specific policies and initiatives will the Government implement to meet New Zealand's climate commitments?

Hon Simon Watts: New Zealand is committed to meeting its climate commitments including its Nationally Determined Contribution and climate finance commitments. The Government will outline its policies and initiatives for achieving its emission reduction commitments as part of the second Emissions Reduction Plan, which will be published by December 2024.
