31067 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Energy: How much, if any, have the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, budgeted for the carbon neutral government programme in the 2026/27 financial year?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that for the 2026/27 financial year, EECA has budgeted $5,470,000 in grant funding related expenditure for existing contractual arrangements under Carbon Neutral Government Programme (M037) and $670,000 under the related State Sector Decarbonisation Fund (M034). There is no budget for new activity. EECA has also budgeted $12,000 to comply with the Carbon Neutral Government Programme as an organisation. As an Independent Crown Entity, the Electricity Authority is not mandated under the Carbon Neutral Government Programme.
