31031 (2023). Chlöe Swarbrick to the Minister for Racing: Since September 2021, how many greyhounds have been injured or have died as a result of greyhound racing, and how many greyhounds have been injured or have died at an off-site racing facility as a result of greyhound racing?

Rt Hon Winston Peters: Since becoming Minister of Racing I have received one report in December 2023 from the Racing Integrity Board (RIB) on the Greyhound Review Work Programme. This report included death and euthanasia information rates since 2017/18 and these statistics are attached as Appendix A. I have not received specific numbers in relation to injuries that cover the requested time frame, as the report I received reflects injury rates.
