Hon Shane Jones: Since becoming Minister of Resources, the changes listed below have been made by the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment to the Energy and natural resources section of their website. • Updates to the Fuel price monitoring section as part of the Ministry’s weekly monitoring of importer margins for regular petrol, premium petrol and automotive diesel. • Update of the infographic on the Electricity industry page to align with Ministry brand colours. • Update to Energy hardship expert panel and reference group page noting group ran until December 2023, and the addition of a report advising on issues relating to wholesale and retail electricity market competition (the Ben Hamlin report). • Proactive release of Electricity Authority Strategic Baseline Review and Electricity Authority Funding Options following Strategic Baseline Review. • Release of Energy Quarterly New Zealand for the July-September 2023 quarter. • Release of mining industry statistics for the calendar year of 2022. • Updates to Consultation on advancing New Zealand’s energy transition and supporting pages to reflect close of consultation, number of submissions received and next steps. • Reissue of the Hydrogen Economic Modelling Results report supporting the development of a Hydrogen Roadmap correcting errors that were identified in the model after the public consultation period. • New subpage for Māori and Public Housing Renewable Energy Fund: Spotlight on completed projects. • Updates to New Zealand energy sector greenhouse gas emissions data.
