Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Housing: Further to his reply to Question 25824 (2026), how many, if any, of the consent applications lodged by Kāinga Ora since 30 June 2025 where processing timeframes for resource consents have not been met within the statutory periods set out in the Resource Management Act 1991 were publicly notified applications and how does that figure breakdown by council?

Hon Chris Bishop: Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that it does not centrally record this information, and it is not possible to provide this information without diverting a significant amount of staff resources from their core duties. In accordance with Speaker’s Ruling 210/6, I consider that the time and expense of answering the Member’s question is not in the public interest. This is also my answer to WPQs 30994 and 30996 (2026).
