Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: In response to the Minister’s answer to question 27482 (2023), is one of the various options for funding contributions he is considering a contribution to the Airport to Botany Busway from Auckland Council; if so, what communications, correspondence, meetings, written or verbal has the Minister or anyone in his office had with Auckland Council Councillors, Staff, Contractors or Representatives (including the Mayor of Auckland and his office) relating to this contribution, by title and date?

Hon Simeon Brown: As part of the Coalition Government's 100 Day Plan, I have begun rewriting the draft Government Policy Statement on land transport. I will continue to consider funding contributions for all projects as part of the development of the Government Policy Statement.
