30883 (2025). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Housing: What percentage of the 1,500 social homes committed in Budget 2024 have been consented or commenced as of 16 June 2025, and what updates has he received on delivery progress?

Hon Chris Bishop: I regularly receive reports on progress towards delivery targets from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development. I am advised that as at the end of May, 1,443 of the 1,500 social housing places approved in Budget 24 have been delivered, approved, allocated or are otherwise in the delivery pipeline. Of those 1,443 places, eight have been delivered and 233 have had construction commence.
