30818 (2025). Hon Peeni Henare to the Minister for Media and Communications: How were local businesses, emergency services, and residents economically and operationally impacted by the internet and radio blackouts in Taranaki and Marlborough?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: The HMAS Canberra incident was isolated and only affected a small number of wireless ISPs. It was resolved on the day the issue emerged. I have not been advised of any impacts to emergency services in the affected regions.
